Perzine Workshop

On 1 October 2022, SydZU will be hosting a perzine making workshop as part of the Waiting Room Project at the Sydney Sexual Health Centre.

We will make zines focusing on personal storytelling. All materials will be supplied, but feel free to bring anything you would like to create with.

Halloween Zine Making Meet up

On 28 October 2022, SydZU will be donning their spookiest costumes for a zine making meet up that's... to die for!

Join us from 2-4pm, at the Garden Lounge Creative Space (573 King St, Newtown) as we create Hallozines. No experience necessary, all materials will be provided.

Following the zine making session, there will be live music and poetry readings, so stick around for that too!

SydZU Zine Fair

On 16 July 2022, SydZU held their first zine fair at Petersham Town Hall with over 40 zinesters, both local, interstate, and international.

Virtual Zine Making Event - 26 February 2022

SydZU organised a covid-safe online zine making meet up exploring the theme of 5km (the distance from our homes that a lot of Australians were allowed to travel during lockdowns).


24 Zines in 24 Hours Livestream

From 10am AEDT on Saturday 29 January to 10am AEDT on Sunday 30 January, SydZU members Kate (@moonfurhat) and B (@aomm.zine) made a zine every hour for 24 hours, and livestreamed the whole thing on twitch.


Inaugural Zine Making Event - 18 December 2021

On 18 December 2021, we had out inaugural zine making event at Sydney Olympic Park, where we welcomed both newcomers and experienced zine makers.

Participants were able to create a zine using collage, drawing, or writing. These handmade zines were then photocopied for participants to exchange.
